With over 3200 lakes, the Minocqua – Arbor Vitae – Woodruff Wisconsin area has one of the largest concentration of fresh-water lakes in the world. The area has countless streams and brooks, and is also the headwaters of the two largest river basins in Wisconsin: the Wisconsin River and the Chippewa-Flambeau Systems. All of these waters are teaming with a wonderful variety of sport and panfish.
Kurt Justice, proprietor of Guide’s Landing, books 170 guide dates during open water season. When busy, he refers to other local, professional guides. Kurt guides right until ice-up and beyond, but you will also find him on the ice doing fishing trips in the winter months.
While walleye and musky make up the bulk of his booking, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, northern pike, crappies and yellow perch are also targeted through out the season adding lots of spice and variety to any outing.
Kurt welcomes anglers of all ages and experience levels and can accommodate the needs of corporate or other large groups.
Kurt invites you to come and take a fishing trip in his 20 foot Ranger. Come and experience the waters of Northern Wisconsin. Fish from the Willow Flowage of Oneida County to the Flambeau Flowage of Iron; the Pike Round Lake Chain of Price County to the water of Phelps; Land O Lakes in Vilas County and most anywhere in between.
With the guides at the Guide’s Landing, you can be assured you’re fishing with a professional. The guides here fish for a living and know their trade well. Kurt won’t set you up with some part-time, weekend “want-to-be” guide. Our guides are licensed, insured professionals who know our reputation is on the line when you are in their boats.
